Fort Wayne Holiday Cab Program Set for 2010

It's better to be prepared for the holiday season. FortWayne.com announced that the 23rd annual Holiday Cab program is planned to run 8 p.m.-3 a.m. Thursday through Jan. 1, Mayor Tom Henry was to announce this morning. The program offers free cab rides home for people within a 10-miles radius of downtown.

“In a year when many programs have had to reduce the services they provide,” Henry said in a statement, “it's wonderful to see this group of interested business people come together once again to give this holiday gift to the community.” For a ride, call the Holiday Cab Hotline, 460-4710.

Headwaters Park Rink Opens for Season

If you love ice skating and need an "outdoorsy" date night idea, look for the Headwaters Rink to open for the season on Friday, November 19, 2010. The downtown Fort Wayne attaction starts is eighth season this year. Don't have ice skates, they have skate rentals.
